We have issued 200 tickets as of 2/18.  As a result of the fantastic interest that we've received in this event we added an additional 50 tickets.  So be sure to get yours ToDAY!!

SSA’s Rockin Readers Book Club is inviting SSA K-8 grade students, families and teachers to spend time reading to commemorate SSA's first annual Family Reading Night.  The theme for the evening is “Expand Your World”.

Parents and children are encouraged to turn off the television, computers, video games and other forms of entertainment and spend time reading together.  

Join us at Rockin Readers Tale Town Square and enjoy stories read aloud in front of a storybook backdrop as well as a reader’s theatre performance by SSA's FANTASTIC Rockin Readers.  Students can have fun with storybook characters available for photo opportunities and to guide students through games and activities.  Everyone can creative at Art Alley.   Literacy Lane will feature a prominent literacy organization and Library Lane features Pima County Public Library’s services and a kindergarten story time.

To ensure that everyone is fed, fully entertained and happy, dinner will be included and available at the Grub Hub, along with music and dance on Beat Street.

Throughout the evening families can participate in a variety of reading and literacy activities, pick out books to take home at the Pay it Forward Book Exchange station and enjoy guest readers and storytelling though music and dance performed by the Barbea Williams Performing Company.  Barbea's performance acknowledges and celebrates Black History Month as well.
